The PokerStars Open Main Event played down to a final table today in Barcelona. After eight Day 1 starting flights and two full days of in-the-money play, the field of 4,333 entrants has been whittled down to just a single table of eight players – and with €731,000 for the eventual winner, they've all got their eyes on the win.
With 80 players still in the hunt to start Day 3 proceedings, Han Feng held a sizable chip lead over the field.
Following his fifth-place finish in the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event for $2,250,000, Feng was threatening another final table appearance in a large-field event – and he delivered.
Feng increased his stack by more than 6x throughout play on Day 3 and will begin Saturday's final table with the largest stack in play, several million clear of his nearest competitor Gregoire Jarry, of France.
Jason Wheeler rounds out the top three with 19.2M, considerably behind Jarry's 28.8M and Feng's 33.3M. The three of them have a solid cushion on the middle of the pack where Serbia's Darko Svesko (13.3M), the Netherlands' Selvakumaran Mahersh (11.6M), Romania's Bogdan-Petru Petrascu (11M), and Sweden's Alexander Ivarsson (10.3M) are clustered.
Brazil's Felipe Boianovsky is the lone short stack, with 5.3M.
No FT for Brock Wilson, Jamie Dwan
When play resumes in Barcelona on Saturday at 12:30pm local time, the eight remaining players will battle it out for the PokerStars spade trophy and the €731,000 first-place prize.
The Day 3 carnage saw several notable players fall by the wayside in their pursuit of a final table appearance, including: Brock Wilson (24th, €20,530), Jamie Dwan (25th, €20,530), Dominik Panka (41st, €13,480), PokerStars Ambassador Sebastian Huber (60th, €11,710), and Victoria Livschitz (80th, €10,200).
Brock Wilson finished 16th in the 2026 WSOP Main Event and replicated that deep run to some degree in Barcelona with a 24th-place finish in the PokerStars Open Main Event.
