WSOP Online International: Dennis Volz wins huge Millionaire Maker event

The 2024 WSOP Online International series on GGPoker has crossed the halfway point of its 33-bracelet slate, with the online version of the popular Millionaire Maker tourney the largest event of recent days. Mexico's Dennis Volz claimed the top payout of the series to date, winning $1,287,142.95 by outlasting a giant 4,934-entry field to win his first World Series of Poker bracelet.

Volz entered the final table as the chip leader and ended up busting Brazil's José Eduardo 'Xerife' Ferreira for the win. Ferreira collected $914,946.69 for second, while Russia’s Ivan Ilichev took third for $650,461.70. 533 players mde it to the money, sharing in the event's $7,030,950 prize pool.

'IcePokerGuild' tops Beat the Pros bounty tourney

In Event #16, $215 'Beat the Pros' Bounty NLH, Poland’s ‘IcePokerGuild’ claimed gold and a combined $117,602.53 ($65,218.42 prize payout, plus $52,384.11 in bounties). Taiwan's 'ShtoneKilla' collected a combined ($82,316.43) while finishing second, and Germany's 'raiseitupKR' garnered a combined $55,624.69 for third.

The event, which featured numerous members of GGPoker's brand ambassador team, ultimately drew in 7,708 players. The top 912 players made the money and shared in the tourney's $1,524,642.40 prize pool.

Oliver Weis wins $5 Short Deck Championship

Event #18, $5,000 Short Deck Championship 3-Stack NLH drew an elite 92-entry field, with German pro Oliver Weis, who played from Poland, emerging as the winner. Weis won his first WSOP bracelet and $113,950.34 to add to an already strong series.

Second place and $84,532.46 went to Thomas Mikucinski, who played from Austria, and third-place money of $62,709.25 went to Poland's Marcin Barwinski. The event paid out $437,000 in prize money.
