Daniel Negreanu's great summer shows no signs of cooling off. Is it because he drafted himself in the $25K Fantasy league for the first time to add even more pressure onto his shoulders? It doesn't seem to hurt.

'Kid Poker' already has four cashes to his name this summer, and tonight he added yet another final table. He bagged eighth in chips of the nine who return tomorrow for the $10K Limit Hold'em Championship.

He'll have his work cut out for him to find a bracelet as he contends with the likes of Viktor Blom, Anthony Zinno, Scott Bohlman, and more, along with being one of the shorter stacks at the table. Negreanu already has a second-place and a seventh-place finish on his record this series; he'd love to turn this deep run into a victory and capture the $282,455 up top.

Two other players did what Negreanu will try tomorrow, closing out deep runs by holding bracelets at the end of the night.

An emotional win for Philip Sternheimer

Philip Sternheimer captured his maiden golden bracelet in the $10,000 PLO Hi-Lo Championship, winning $763,087 for his first victory within the World Series of Poker walls

The win meant the world to him.

"I tried not to allow myself to think about what it would be like to win or lose," Sterheimer told sideline reporter Chris Land moments after his win. "I just tried to stay in the moment. But it's really a lifelong dream."

Sternheimer shared that he has been taking poker more seriously than ever, especially over the last couple of years. That hard work is already paying dividends.

"Having just come third a couple of days before," said Sternheimer. "You always wonder how many more chances you'll get at this. I was thinking this morning, as I walked into the tournament area, that I don't think I've ever wanted something as badly as this one. It feels great."

Joao Vieira holds it together to win his fourth bracelet

Imagine winning one of the biggest buy-in events of the entire summer and capturing your fourth WSOP bracelet in the process.

Joao Vieira doesn't have to imagine; he just lived it tonight. Vieira won the $100K Super High Roller after defeating Aram Oganyan in a heads-up match that featured pendulum-like swings via unlikely reversals of fortune.

"All we're doing is flipping for a million bucks every five minutes," joked Oganyan.

Despite losing to both a two-outer and a three-outer late in the heads-up match, being just moments from winning and having to recollect himself, Vieira did just that to secure the title.

"I just try to keep myself in the present," said Vieira. "I had a job to do."

Vieira won $2,649,158 for his impressive victory while defeating some of the game's best and facing adversity like a true champion. To read more details about his win, check out our full recap of the event.

We'll be back tomorrow to see if Negreanu can close it out, as well as follow all the biggest stories that the weekend will bring. Stay tuned to PokerOrg for it all.
