More commonly played in the online realm, 6-max no-limit hold'em presents a challenge that demands aggression from its players. With the blinds coming around more frequently than in the more conventional full-ring format, players need to widen their ranges and play fast. Such environments require excellent hand-reading skills and a degree of fearlessness.
WSOP Event #15 attracted a large number of online pros, but it was lawyer Bradley Jansen who demonstrated he understands the aggressive dynamics of 6-max play. He outlasted a field of 1,450 players to win the gold bracelet. Jansen also earned $313,403 for the victory, from a total prize pool of $1,935,750.
Jansen and Jeremy Malod of France started the final table as the two chip leaders, and ultimately faced off in the heads-up duel for the gold bracelet. Malod enjoyed an initial 3:1 chip edge over Jansen, but solid play and some good cards saw the Chicagoan first draw level with and then pull ahead of the Frenchman.
The final hand saw the two players getting all-in preflop, with Jansen's AT ahead of Malod's K3. Malod out-flopped Jansen, pairing his king, but the board came runner-runner straight for Jansen, giving him the hard-fought title.

Bradley Jansen's Hendon Mob database entry indicates that he has been an active and successful player in the past, and particularly over the last four years. He won a WSOP Circuit Series ring at the Potawatomi, Milwaukee stop back in 2019. Like his most recent victory, that event was 6-max no-limit hold'em.
His combined recorded poker tournament earnings are listed by the site as $641,008. What really stands out, however, is that he won half of that total during the last seven days.
In addition to his victory in Event #15, Jansen already has two previous cashes this WSOP. He showed off his poker versatility and all-around game by finishing 30th in Event #7. The $1500 buy-in, six-handed dealer's choice event added $3,000 to Jansen's lifetime earnings.
He followed up this cash with another in the $3,000 buy-in, no-limit hold'em Event #13, for a payday of $4,840.
With that kind of form, Bradley Jansen is one to watch going forward in the 52nd annual WSOP and beyond.
