The first event of the PokerGO Tour's 2024 PLO Series has wrapped up play, with California's Allan Le dominating the live-streamed finale on Thursday to win $161,700 and his second career PGT title in action at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

Le arrived at the six-player final as one of three short-stacked players looking for an early double-up, to begin chasing Day 1 leader Bryce Yockey, who finished the previous night's action with twice as many chips as his closest competitor.

Le found that early double and continued his charge from there, eventually moving all the way into the lead within the day's early action. Frederick Hoban took one brief turn atop the chip counts, and Yockey regained the lead a short while later, but it was Le who ended up steamrolling the finale, knocking out all five of the other players for the win.

Kings no good for Yockey

The final hand saw Le close out a short-stacked Yockey just two hands after Le busted Portugal's Joao Pedro de Almeida in third. Yockey's last chips went in before the flop behind kings, but Le waited with a pair of aces of his own. Le flopped the set, and the rest of the board brought nothing over a jack, completing Le's romp to the win.

Le's victory in the 2024 PGT PLO opener pushed his career live-tournament winnings over the $4 million mark. Le also owns a WSOP bracelet, while his largest career victory remains the giant $1,597,743 payday he claimed for taking down the 2012 Asian Poker Tour Hong Kong main event. Le's first PGT victory came one year ago in a $10K PLO event in this same series.

The 2024 PGT PLO Event #1 drew 132 entries and built a $660,000 prize pool, and the top 19 players made the money. The Day 2 players and their finishes were as follows, with Le also assuming the early lead on the PLO Series leaderboard. Nine more events remain, with the series continuing through March 30.
