This summer's poker slate keeps getting better and better. BetMGM announced that the BetMGM Poker Championship will return to the ARIA Resort & Casino for the second consecutive year. That's no surprise, as last year's inaugural event was a resounding success.
New Yorker Joey Weissman claimed the title in last year's championship, claiming $224,236 for his win. The event saw 343 entrants push the prize pool to nearly $1.1 million, which surpassed the $1 million guarantee. This year, they're betting on themselves, because that guarantee is going up even higher.

2023 BetMGM Poker Championship event details
The buy-in will stay at $3,500, the same as last year. However, the guarantee is doubled up to an enticing $2 million. The event is scheduled for June 9th through June 13th in ARIA's poker room, with the final table played and live-streamed in the next-door PokerGO studio. There will be two starting flights.
To help them achieve their ambitious guarantee, at least 100 qualifiers from BetMGM poker markets will win an entry via online qualifiers that start on May 1st. Packages will include a $3,500 buy-in for the Championship event, an $800 buy-in for the Mystery Bounty event, travel expenses, and a six-night stay at ARIA from June 7th-13th, 2023.
