Whether youâve been playing poker for two weeks or twenty years, thereâs a good chance youâre familiar with Tom Dwan. And for those who donât yet know the name, get ready to hear a lot more about him: the man known as âdurrrrâ has just signed on as the latest Team Pro at ACR Poker.

New high-stakes clashes hark back to Dwan's online 'glory days'
It was almost 20 years ago when Dwan first made his name as an aggressive high-stakes pro, growing his bankroll and building his legend in huge games against the likes of Phil Ivey, Ilari Sahamies, Patrik Antonius and Viktor Blom.
ACR Poker will try to resurrect the glory days of online nosebleed games and packed rails with the upcoming âDurrrrâs Gameâ. These high-stakes clashes will see Dwan take on "high-profile players" on the client and will also be streamed on ACR's channels. ACR hasn't announced any other players for the games yet, but we do know that Dwan will play under his 'Durrrr' moniker online.
A spokesperson for ACR Poker said, âWeâre really excited to bring Tom Dwan aboard. His bold, daring approach to poker is a great fit with ACR Pokerâs mentality.â

Return of Durrrr
This is a high-profile signing for ACR Poker.
Dwan has been a fixture in some of the worldâs highest-stakes games for almost 20 years. And he's still making headlines today, although not all of them are favorable.
In timing that could only be called unfortunate, Dwan has been the subject of several public discussions this week around alleged unpaid debts. While an upcoming Doug Polk podcast is expected to focus on the topic, Dwan has yet to comment publicly.
On the table, Dwan is still dragging in the pots and the eyeballs.
In May 2023, he won the biggest pot ever seen in a US televised game (breaking his own record). That video has now been watched over 1.4 million times. And more than a decade ago, he ran an almighty bluff that weâre still talking about years later.
His first live cash came at the age of 19, in London, on the European Poker Tour. His next would be a final table finish in the 2007 WPT Championship, aged 21, worth over $300,000. Heâs also acquired a number of good results at the WSOP, Aussie Millions and, particularly in recent years, the Triton Poker Series.
Surprisingly, it was 2022 before Dwan recorded his first tournament win; cash games are where he has shined the brightest. A series of live âDurrrr Challenges' in 2009 saw him take on Marcello Marigliano, Ilari Sahamies and Sammy George in heads-up games, winning over $750k.
Dwan would also become one of the biggest stars of the ever-popular High Stakes Poker show, most notably clashing with old-school pro Barry Greenstein in a couple of huge pots.
In 2010âs Million Dollar Cash Game, Dwan took on Phil Ivey in what was then the biggest ever televised pot, raking in over a million dollars in chips.
Then, in 2023, Dwan appeared on the Hustler Casino Live stream and took down a pot almost three times the size of the one above.
