The PokerStars Network is coming: Following the deal earlier this year that saw the online poker giant partner with FanDuel in the US and Ontario, PokerStars has confirmed that joint networks are its future.
What does this mean? Hopefully, busier lobbies and bigger tourneys. PokerStars will move from a standalone client to the in-house poker offering within brands such as Betfair and PaddyPower in the UK, for example - PokerStars' sister brands under the Flutter Entertainment umbrella.
That should bring more players as the pools from each brand come together on a single network.

Let the battle of the streamers begin: Poker Champs - a heads-up tournament starring online streamers and hosted by Doug Polk - gets off the mark Tuesday with the first of the 1-on-1 matches.

Congya Zhang takes the Global Poker Championship: China's Zhang, who enjoyed a deep run in the WSOP Main Event this past summer, has won the $2,200 Global Poker Championship title at the 2026 Mediterranean Poker Party in North Cyprus.
The $300K win doubles her previous career-best high score of $150K, which she picked up for her run to 61st in Las Vegas.

'Slick Ric' wins the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Texas: Eric Chang won the $1,700 buy-in tourney in his home state, emerging victorious after a final day that also saw 2026 WSOP Main Event champion Lucas Jumalon run deep.
The summer champ's run ended in 14th, however, while Chang pushed on for the $433K win. Full story below.
Vanessa Kade just made all 3 WCOOP Women's Event final tables: Sunday saw the Canadian play each buy-in option of this event at PokerStars, making the final 9 in all 3 of them.
She ended up coming 4th in the $22 Medium event and 3rd in the $5.50 Low version, while a win in the $215 High edition brought her $4K and the first WCOOP title of her career.
Patrick Leonard wins another WCOOP: Over on PokerStars the Brit has claimed the 15th World Championship of Online Poker title of his career.
His latest win, in the $530 NLH turbo for $15,428, brings Leonard up to 15 WCOOP titles in total. Only Benny Glaser (16) has more.

Veldhuis out in 14th: The WSOP Online Main Event title won't be going to the Dutchman this year.
Veldhuis' run came to a painful end in two key hands. In the first, he lost a big flip with pocket sixes against an opponent's queen-jack. The flop and turn were clean, but a jack on the river crippled his stack.
With about four big blinds left, he took a stand with ace-four and found himself up against ace-ten. The flop saw him pair his side card to take the lead, but the turn came a ten and he couldn't find a two-outer on the river to survive.
Lex Veldhuis running deep in the $5,000 WSOP Online Main: The Dutchman's stream is live now and he's got a healthy stack late on Day 2.
There's $3,931,259 up top, along with one of the most coveted titles in online poker.
Veldhuis is also still alive in the $10K GGMillion$ NLH, nearing the money bubble – but he just took a tough beat with pocket queens against Samuel Vousden's pocket kings.

PokerGO Tour schedule heats up for the fall: First, the tour's PLO Series kicks off September 24 and runs through October 2.
That's not the end of the four-card action. The $100K PLO Super High Roller Bowl starts up October 5, followed directly by the $100K NLH Super High Roller Bowl.
From there, the Poker Masters will take center stage from October 12-22.
The WSOP Circuit Main Event at TCH Austin is down to 15 players. Lucas Jumalon's start-of-day chip lead has evaporated, but he's still in the hunt.

Wang Ye gets his Triton trophy. Triton Jeju is over, and after more than $11 million in Triton cashes without a title, Wang has finally got his hands on a trophy – and the $256,000 first prize – after beating Wai Kiat Lee heads-up in the $30K NLH Turbo.

Everyone loves a chopped... tourney? In a heartwarming moment at the tail end of Triton Poker's $150K 10th anniversary tournament, Nick Petrangelo and Joao Simao immediately agreed to chop the tourney once they reached heads-up play.
The pair even posed for the winner's photos together - not something you see every day.
Petrangelo took $2.2M in prize money while Simao took $2.5M, making for heck of a week for the Brazilian who also won the $200K Invitational just days ago.

Las Vegas police release images of suspects in the Jared Griener robbery: Griener was robbed after collecting his WSOP winnings and says his entire bankroll was stolen in the incident.
Griener quote-tweeted the police post, writing, “Update from the robbery case. If anyone recognizes these assholes please call LVPD.”
Amateur player (with $250K)? Apply here: The WSOP has rebranded its $250K Invitational as the WSOP Pro-Am event.
The mechanics are different to the Triton Invitational, where pros need an invite. If you're a pro at Paradise, your money is good. If you're an amateur, you'll need to apply to have your amateur status approved. Like the Triton Invitational, amateurs and pros will play separately on Day 1 before merging on Day 2.
And the WSOP felt forced to add one further clarification to its initial post: “Amateur players selected to participate in the WSOP Pro-Am are still responsible for the $250,000 buy-in. An invitation grants you entry into the event, but WSOP does not cover or provide the buy-in.”

Nick Schulman takes down the Triton $100K Main Event: The Poker Hall of Famer defeated Bernhard Binder heads-up, after a reported deal that saw Schulman win around $3.8M and his opponent $3M.

Triton celebrates a decade of high stakes dreams: As the $100K Main Event plays down to a winner, cards are now in the air in the $150K 10th Anniversary Special.
At the time of writing, Frenchman Jean-Noel Thorel leads the pack with more than three times the starting stack. Invitational winner Joao Simao is also on a big stack.
Ben Tollerene wins 5th Triton title: The high-stakes regular defeated Daniel Rezaei heads-up to win the $50K Bounty Quattro event in Jeju, Korea, late on Tuesday night for $652K.
The win was his 4th cash and 3rd final table of this series, and pushes the all-time Texas #1 close to $39M in career tournament earnings.
The fight over America's controversial gambling tax rules is back on Capitol Hill: The House Ways and Means Committee will meet on Wednesday to consider the bipartisan ‘FULL HOUSE Act’, which could allow gamblers to once again deduct 100% of their losses against their winnings.
Aden Salazar wins TCH Austin $750K GTD Mini Main: The $600 buy-in event attracted 2,270 entries, with Salazar taking home $160K.
The Main Event starts tomorrow, and 2026 WSOP Main Event winner Lucas Jumalon is already in the house, alongside his dad, Butch.
France's Pierre Chevalier wins 2026 WSOP Circuit Paris Main Event for €260K. He topped a field of 1,282 entries, the largest ever for a WSOP Circuit Main Event in Europe. Davidi Kitai finished fifth, with Natasha Mercier ninth.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
Jamie Dwan just keeps winning. The Brit added a fourth Championship of Online Poker title with a win in the WCOOP $2,100 PKO Super High Roller.
Fresh off of big wins at the WSOP, the GUKPT, and the EPT, Dwan's summer heater looks to be stretching into the autumn months.
Brazil dominating WSOP Online: 22 bracelets have been awarded to date on GGPoker, and Brazilian players have won five of them, alongside 10 other podium finishes. Russia are second in the bracelet table, with Germany a distant third.
Nilson Sales became the latest Brazilian winner, taking down the $250 Beat the Pros Bounty NLH.
Brazil's success is good news for the country's other players, too, with Brazil currently in line for the top $200K freeroll. Everyone who plays a bracelet event is eligible to participate in their country's freeroll.
GGPoker is staying in the Netherlands for another five years. According to CasinoNieuws, the Dutch Gaming Authority has granted the poker online giant a new license that will see it operating through to 2031.
Brendan Sleutel, Compliance Manager at GGPoker said: "We have been active in the Netherlands for five years now, and we get to add another five years to that. Naturally, we are proud of that."
Phil Hellmuth and Shaun Deeb to play $60K Legends of Poker Tournament: One Day Challenge. The $600 buy-in tournament plays on Thursday, September 24 at 4pm at the Lilac Club Casino Poker Room in Rochester, New Hampshire.
The tournament will benefit two local nonprofit organizations, Thriving Roots Childcare and the Seacoast Educational Endowment of Dover. And it could benefit you, too: knock out either Hellmuth or Deeb and you'll pocket a $500 bounty.
Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus keeps fighting. And she's just announced that her fix for the controversial gambling loss tax deduction hurting many US poker players "has finally been included in a tax package."
$4.1M up top in the Triton $100K Main Event: 196 entries are currently down to 39 as Tuesday's Day 2 plays out in Jeju, Korea.
Nick Schulman, Alex Foxen and Jesse Lonis all have top 10 stacks at time of writing, with Wesley Fei leading the pack. The top 31 will get paid, with a min-cash worth $173K.

Doug Polk and Bobby James are livestreaming $50/$100 PLO5 now: Two tables, five hole cards. Who will come out on top?
Meet the WSOPC Virginia final table: The inagural $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event at Caesars Virginia is down to its final seven players.
Marshall White holds a commanding lead with 10,570,000, more than double the stack of anyone else at the table. The final seven return Monday at 12 PM ET in Level 28 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 and a 120,000 big blind ante.

The Triton Invitational is now heads-up: It's Ding Biao vs. João Simão for the trophy and the $7,250,000 first prize. The two players couldn't agree on a deal, so they're playing heads-up for $2.31M.
The Triton Poker $100K Main Event is underway: 40 players are already in action in Jeju, including Isaac Haxton, Phil Ivey, Stephen Chidwick and Artur Martirosian.
Registration remains open until the start of Tuesday's Day 2.
