The players had exactly one hand of heads-up play to go through before they hit their first break of the day.
Frank Bonacci raised the button to 700,000 before Aaron Gao three-bet to 1,700,000. Bonacci then four-bet to about 2,500,000 before Gao called.
On the flop, Gao check-called a 1,200,000 bet before the
hit the turn. Gao checked again, and Bonnaci shipped it for about 5,300,000 while covered by Gao.
"On the first hand, really?!" Gao said before putting in the chips. Bonnaci tabled and Gao tabled
.
The river was a brick, and Bonnaci got a pure double on the first hand of heads-up play. The two players then went straight to a break, undoubtedly with adrenaline through the roof.
