K. L. Cleeton, poker-comedian and the founder of Range Trainer Pro, will be playing fellow poker-pro James Brady heads up for charity next week. The two-day event is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST on May 11, and 5 PM EST on May 15, 2021. The games will be streamed live on Cleeton's Twitch channel, where viewers will be able to make donations and participate in a series of raffles.

All proceeds from the donations and raffles will go to Cure SMA. Cure SMA is a spinal muscular atrophy charity that funds research into SMA. It also provides assistance to those diagnosed with SMA and to their carers. SMA is a condition that causes the sufferer's motor neurons to die off, resulting in muscular paralysis, without loss of sensation.

The work of the Cure SMA charity is close to both Brady and Cleeton's hearts. Both players suffer from SMA.

Cleeton was thrilled to announce the event on Twitter.

"FINALLY, I GET TO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE!!! [James Brady] and I HU 4 CHAIRity Challenge Live on my channel," he wrote. "With all donations benefiting @CureSMA. [...] Going to be a blast with lots of amazing raffles up for grabs (Announcing soon)."

Heads up highlights

The day one commentary booth will be the purview of Jo Kim and poker-coach Lexy Gavin. Meanwhile, Veronica Brill and Joe "Stapes" Stapleton are standing by to take over commentating on the second day of the event. Brill seems pretty excited about her role, tweeting that she won't "be mad if we end up naked while rich in donations."

Stapes has confirmed that he will also "not be mad."

Cleeton and Brill are long time friends and Brill has been using her profile to try to GoFundMe an accessible van in order to allow Cleeton to return to the WSOP, where he first made a name for himself as one of Daniel Negreanu's stake horses.

Cleeton tweeted the full details of raffle prizes with the caption: "We're not just going to be entertaining you during the HU CHAIRity Challenge. We also want to give you some pretty amazing prizes! You may recognize some of the names on this list."

The list of raffle prizes came soon after, and include a 30-minute call with Daniel Negreanu, signed Chris Moneymaker memorabilia, a 36-inch Ivey-Dwan print, and one-year memberships to LearnProPoker and RangeTrainerPro.

Players can enter the raffles by donating during the stream.
