The World Series of Poker Circuit will swing south again next week when it visits Pompano Beach, Florida from October 9–20 at Harrah's.

Pompano Beach is now a regular fixture on the WSOP Circuit with a seven-figure Main Event at the former harness racing venue in South Florida. Last time at Pompano, Maurice Hawkins won his 17th ring in the $400 40/40/40 Grand Master event, while Art Peacock won $230K on his birthday in the $1,700 Main Event.

Mini Main kicks off opening day

The opening weekend starts a day early on Thursday, October 9 with a $400 NLH with a $25K guarantee and the first of four flights into the $600 Mini Main Event. Other early events include the $600 Seniors event with its $50K guarantee on 10/12 and a $1,000 Mystery Bounty with $100K guaranteed later that day.

A $400 Monster Stack will bridge the gap to the Main Event with three flights and a $200K prize pool. A handful of mixed events will also fall in, with $400 PLO8 on Oct. 14 and $600 PLO on Oct. 15.

The $1,700 Main Event starts in earnest on Oct. 16 with the first of three flights spread across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Surviving players will come back on Sunday to play for part of a $2M prize pool and a spot on Monday's final table.

The rest of the series wraps up with the $400 Grand Master and the $2,200 High Roller on October 19 with a $50K and $200K guarantee, respectively. The final day of the series will offer the usual $400 Double Stack one-day closer with a $50K guarantee.
