One of the biggest online tournament festivals on the 2020 calendar hits the finish line Wednesday, as the 2020 Caribbean Party Poker Online at partypoker plays to its end. Two more tournaments remain to be decided on the 2020 CPP Online schedule, and they're two of the biggest on the schedule for the first-ever online edition of one of poker's most popular events.
Play is down to the final table in Event #2: $5,300 Main Event, as well as Event #9: $10,300 High Roller. Both of these tournaments play down to a champion Wednesday evening, or possibly into the early hours of Thursday morning for players in Europe.
Here's a look at what's yet to come as two big events in the 2020 CPP Online are decided Wednesday:
Peru's Diego Ventura has stood atop the chip counts almost wire to wire in Event #2: $5,300 Main Event. Ventura held the chip lead at the end of his Day 1B flight and went into Day 2 as the overall tournament chip leader. He then ended Day 2 action at the top of the chip counts and repeated that feat again in Day 3.
Ventura also starts Day 4 of Main Event action with the chip lead, with the biggest of the stacks of a fiercely competitive lineup going into final table play. Ventura (307,433,755 chips) leads a field that includes other contenders like Grayson Ramage (193,687,436), Jonathan Proudfoot (142,411,766) and Team partypoker prop Isaac Haxton (115,314,958).
The first-place prize of $879,894 is on the line as the Main Event plays to a conclusion today. The $5 million guaranteed tournament saw 1,037 entries register for play, putting the prize pool past the guarantee at $5,185,000.

Juan Pardo Dominguez leads the field in the $10k High Roller
Event #9: $10,300 High Roller also plays to a champion Wednesday, with a $277,268 first-place prize on the line. Seven players remain in the high-stakes event, with a roster of final table combatants that represents some of the world's best tournament stars.
Juan Pardo Dominguez (37,997,337 chips) leads the field at the final table, followed by Jon Van Fleet (26,366,612) and Pascal Lefranoics (15,432,164).
Lefranoics will try to pull off the unbelievable feat of winning both high roller events on the 2020 CPP Online schedule. The longtime Canadian pro already took down Event #4: $25,500 Super High Roller, for a $585,175 payday earlier in the series.
Other final table contenders include Mark Radoja (15,102,844), Giuseppe Iadisernia (8,874,423), Erik Bauer (3,925,364) and Rok Gostisa (3,301,256).
The Main Event and the $10,300 High Roller, along with Event #10: The Closer ($530 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed) close out the unprecedented all-online edition of the Caribbean Poker Party. The festival usually plays out as a live event in the Bahamas, representing one of the most popular live festivals on the poker calendar.
COVID-19 considerations, however, prompted partypoker officials to move the event online for the first time this year. The partypoker international client hosted the 2020 Caribbean Poker Party online, with ten events running Nov. 13-24.
