High Stakes Poker has been live for a week now, and the stakes have been getting higher each night.
Monday night’s finale saw the record for the biggest pot on the show shattered, eclipsing the $2,478,000 mark set just two nights earlier.
One of the protagonists was the same: Eric Wasserson. Texas Mike was the other player in the $4,260,000 pot.
Biggest pot in High Stakes Poker history
Wasserson started things off with a raise to $20,000 with 
, and Texas Mike three-bet to $80,000 with 
. That cleared out the rest of the table, with Wasserson making the call.
The 
flop gave Wasserson a pair and a flush draw, with nothing but a solitary club for Texas Mike. He’ll wish he’d let things go at this point. Instead, after Wasserson checked, he bet $100,000. Wasserson called.
The 
turn didn't improve Texas Mike but he was playing like he was possessed. Wasserson checked again, Texas Mike bet $330,000 and Wasserson called.
Texas Mike only had 5% equity at this point, but he could still improve – or potentially win the pot by barrelling a brick river. Instead, with over $1 million in the middle, the 
completed the board and Wasserson's flush.
Wasserson checked for the third time. Texas Mike moved all-in and Wasserson took a minute.
"I kind of want to fold," he said, laughing. Texas Mike was impassive. In the end, Wasserson threw in the call and saw the good news.
"I've never played a pot that big before," Wasserson said at the table.

Two monsters to end the stream
By the end of a wild stream, Wasserson had close to $5 million on the table. There was well over $10 million on the table between six players.
And there was still time for Texas Mike to try it again, this time raising to $1,692,000 on the river with second pair. Andrew Robl had kings and a call would have created another $4 million-plus pot and the second-biggest pot in the show's history.
The players joked like it was a $5/$10 home game.
This time, Texas Mike got it through, with Robl folding. Texas Mike showed and Robl fist-bumped him, saying, "You're the best, Mike."
And, in a rare show of emotion, Robl slapped the table with his palm. That one stung. For Texas Mike, it almost got him unstuck.
Then, in the last hand of the stream, Robl and Wasserson got it all in. Wasserson had 
, Robl had 
and there was $2,418,000 in the middle.
Robl decided to just run it once.
The 
flop was good for Robl, and the 
turn was a brick.
The 
river finally gave Robl one to savor over his nemesis – especially after they rabbit-hunted a second board that Wasserson would have won.
