888Poker has announced the addition of Brazilian poker fan Cauê Moura as its latest international cultural ambassador. Moura is a prominent online influencer and YouTube poker streamer who gives 888Poker access to his sizeable Brazilian and Portuguese-language audience.
Besides his popular YouTube streams on a channel with over 5.2 million subscribers, Moura also boasts huge followings on other social-media platforms. On Twitter, he has roughly 2.7 millions, and his Instagram feed is followed by nearly a million subscribers.
Moura has played poker for more than a decade and is part of the huge wave of Brazilian and South American poker players that continues to reshape the global poker scene. Moura's poker experience has come almost exclusively online; he's logged but one small cash in his live-poker career, in a Brazilian Series of Poker event in Rio de Janeiro last June.
However, Moura will represent 888Poker both online and live, while also likely being tasked with adding distinctive and energetic content to 888's global offerings.
"Everyone knows my story with poker," said Moura. "I’ve been doing videos about this wonderful game for more than ten years. Now my dedication has been rewarded. I’m thrilled to be the new 888poker cultural ambassador. And, from now on, you guys will see me playing with their patch."
Moura is the second Brazilian to sign a poker ambassadorship with 888 in recent months, joining pro player Alexandre “Cavalito” Mantovani as an 888-patched presence. Moura is also the second recent "cultural ambassador" (generally signifying the links to social media) recently added by 888, joining British poker player and YouTuber Jack “JaackMaate” Dean as part of the site's extended family.
