$8 million guaranteed series will run as the biggest in 888poker history
The biggest tournament series in the history of 888poker kicks off next week on the brand's international online poker platform.
The 888poker Millions Superstorm will commence September 10 through October 11, with 480 tournaments running over that period. The cumulative guaranteed prize money across the series clocks in at $8 million, making it by far the largest-guarantee tournament series in the brand's history.
Opportunities to win million-dollar cash prizes include a trio of Blast Jackpot Sit & Gos. The three Blast events come with buy-ins of $1, $5, and $100, and each awards a $1 million grand prize.
Tickets to the Blast Jackpot Sit & Gos come through daily freerolls, which run throughout the tournament series.
$1 million guaranteed in the Superstorm Main Event
The biggest multi-table tournament guarantee of the series comes in the $320 Main Event, which promises at least $1 million in prize money.
The Main Event offers multiple Day 1 flights, with those opening day flights already in progress. The Day 1 flights began August 23, and run daily through October 11.
October 11 marks the end of the Day 1 flights, as well as the beginning of Day 2. Day 2 will see the tournament play down to the winner, capping off the unprecedented series for 888poker.
Players can also win a Main Event entry in the Millions SuperStorm $1 million giveaway. Those tickets are up for grabs in the Millions Superstorm Daily Freerolls, running every day throughout the Million Superstorm schedule.
Other events to watch for at the 888poker Millions Superstorm
The Millions Superstorm schedule features a daily slate of 13 regularly-occurring tournaments, as well as two special tournaments per day. The 13 daily tournaments offer buy-ins from $7.50 to $109, with guaranteed prize pools from $5,000 to $15,000.
The 13 tournaments on the daily slate feature traditional no-limit hold'em, as well as several progressive knockout (PKO) events. The biggest guarantee on the daily tournament schedule comes in the $16.50 BIG Fish tournament, which awards at least $15,000 in overall prize money.
The rotating selection of special tournaments adds two more events to the daily schedule, with both a regular and a mini version of each tournament taking place every day.
Highlights from the rotating menu of special tournaments include the 888 Millions Sunday Special, taking place each Sunday throughout the series. The Sunday Special comes at a $215 buy-in and guarantees $100,000.
Another six-figure guarantee hits the schedule on Tuesdays, in the form of the 888 Millions High Roller. That weekly special event guarantees $100,000, with a $530 buy-in.
Entries to various tournaments in the Millions Superstorm series can be won through challenges across other areas of the 888poker platform.
Freeroll tickets to the Blast Jackpot Sit & Go qualifiers, as well as the Cash Freerolls and Millions Superstorm Daily Freerolls, are up for grabs. Some of these tickets will be awarded through various sports betting, casino, and poker cash game challenges.
