The Big One is back.

The WPT and One Drop Foundation announced today that the $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop will return at the upcoming 2023 WPT World Championship held at Wynn Las Vegas.

Adam Pliska, CEO of WPT, said, "The Big One for One Drop is such an iconic tournament in the world of poker. We are honored to put on this incredible event in conjunction with the One Drop Foundation and Wynn Las Vegas. The $1 million buy-in is a testament to the heights this industry can reach and the continuous evolution of the World Poker Tour.”

The Big One for One Drop will take place December 18-20 during the WPT World Championship festival, with Wynn Las Vegas as the host. A noteworthy six percent of each buy-in will directly contribute to the mission of the One Drop Foundation, ensuring sustainable access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene for communities facing arduous circumstances.

Alexandre Meunier, Chief Marketing and Events Officer of the One Drop Foundation, said, "We are beyond excited to be announcing the resurgence of our most iconic charity event. It is an incredible feeling to be able to have the support of WPT and Wynn to run our fifth edition of the Big One. There is always a palpable buzz in the air during the lead-up to the one-million-dollar affair. The magnitude of the buy-in, of the prize pool, but also of the funds that are directed to the crucial cause of access to safe water makes the Big One the event of all superlatives.”

Since its inception in 2012, the Big One for One Drop has been an unforgettable spectacle, producing winners such as Antonio Esfandiari, Dan Colman, Elton Tsang, and Justin Bonomo. The tournament has evolved into a biennial tradition, attracting elite players who compete for substantial cash prizes while supporting the One Drop Foundation's endeavors.

Ryan Beauregard, Executive Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas, expressed immense pride in hosting one of the most significant poker events in history as part of the second annual WPT World Championship festival.

“We look forward to sharing this one-of-a-kind experience with players and fans from across the globe," he said.

The tournament promises to feature prominent high-stakes poker players, top-ranked amateurs, and successful business figures. The complete list of contenders will be announced in the coming months.

Before the December extravaganza, two charity events are scheduled for July. The WPT EveryOne for One Drop on July 9 at Wynn Las Vegas will offer a buy-in of $10,500 and guaranteed $10 million prize pool. The tournament will span three Day 1s and culminate with a livestreamed final table on July 14.

Following that event, the WPT Alpha8 for One Drop, a high roller tournament with a buy-in of $111,000, will kick off on July 14. Starting on Day 2, the competition will be livestreamed with the final table finale scheduled for July 16.
