Burpee your way to big bucks
If you're interested in signing up, registration is now open, and – for the reasonable price point of $300 – you will receive fitness and nutrition guidelines, access to a private Discord channel, and the ability to track your progress through a private fitness app.
Throughout the course of the 60-day challenge, participants will have the chance to grow their chip stack for the $20,000 GTD tournament by completing physical accomplishments. In March, the $20,000 GTD tournament will play out amongst the members of the Shuffle & Shred Challenge and those who have done best in the physical tasks along the way will have a leg up on the competition with more chips to play with.
The 2025 Shuffle & Shred Challenge joins a long-standing tradition of fitness-poker hybrid competitions. Recently, Shaun Deeb took on a much-publicized fitness challenge against billionaire businessman and philanthropist Bill Perkins. The challenge for Deeb was to bring his body fat percentage to 17% or lower and, after a few months of hard work, he was well on course to succeed, which prompted Perkins to offer a buyout to save himself a couple hundred thousand dollars.
