We're more than halfway through the 2024 WSOP and it's time to find out who's happy, who's sad, who's up, who's down, and who doesn't care.

Three quick cashes

It's going okay. I was able to get three cashes in the first week, so I got off to a pretty good start. I went deep in the $5K NLH Champions Reunion for 13th and then cashed in the $1K NLH Freezeout Super Turbo Bounty and the $1K NLH Mystery Bounty.

Sidelined

In the second week of the WSOP, I experienced a slipped disc in my back. I was out for eight days. This past Wednesday was my second day back and I've just made my fourth cash.

TweddleDeeb challenge

I might face off with Shaun Deeb in a Tortilla Slap Challenge. The challenge had been proposed by the two of us when we talked last at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. If this happens, I’m going to lose for sure [laughs].

Most memorable WSOP moment so far

The craziest thing I’ve seen so far is a guy passing out at a nearby table and almost dying. I hope he’s okay.

Survival through to the Main Event

Honestly, right now I’m just fighting through the back pain and grinding. I’m doing my best to eat right and get some solid sleep. All I can do is hang in there during these tough times until I fully recover.
