Daniel Chan wins Mystery Bounty Championship for WSOP bracelet #3

More official results have been reported by the World Series of Poker for online events on WSOP.com that are offered as part of the 2024 WSOP festival. In some of the most recent action, New York's Daniel Chan earned his third online bracelet in two years by taking down Online Event #19, $1,000 NL Hold'em Mystery Bounty Championship, for $165,178. And in Online Event #20, $400 NL Hold'em Colossus, Denmark's Johan Buchtrup Schultz-Pedersen, who now resides in Austria, claimed online gold in just the fourth WSOP cash of his career.

Online Event #19 - $1,000 NL Hold'em Mystery Bounty Championship

Daniel '2thestreets' Chan, a double-online-bracelet winner during the 2023 WSOP, continued his elite play during this year's online Mystery Bounty Championship. The official winner's payday of $165,177.68 is Chan's WSOP career best, but it was actually a notch higher, as he also collected $6,659 in bounties for a grand total of $171,876.38.

The final bounty Chan collected came with the elimination of Las Vegas's Jesse 'Patient0' Yaginuma, who ended up collecting $126,241,12 in combined payout and bounties. Third went to Jesse 'JMcvicker' McVicker, who collected a combined $91,100.75.

Online Event #19 attracted 1,963 total entries from 1,222 unique players, who collectively added another 741 re-entries. The resulting $1,766,700 prize pool was distributed to the top 320 finishers.

Online Event #20 - $400 NL Hold'em Colossus

Danish-Austrian pro Johan Buchtrup Schultz-Pedersen, an online veteran perhaps best known for being one of the co-founders of Octopi Poker, logged the first major recorded win of his career by taking down the online Colossus event and its $149,745.20 winner's payout. Schultz-Pedersen, playing as 'SerJohan', outlasted a 3,379-entry field (2,162 unique players plus 1,217 re-entries), to snare his first gold bracelet.

Schultz-Pedersen completed his victory by busting a prior bracelet winner, Jonathan 'the85bears' Dokler, leaving Dokler to collect $106,925.07 for second. Third place and $76,392.43 went to Benjamin 'Phenom7' Underwood.

The online Colossus tourney offered a $1,216,440 prize pool, which was distributed to the top 420 finishers.
