After a rare week without any WSOP Circuit rings being awarded, the world’s biggest poker tour is back in full swing.
The $1 million guaranteed Main Event at Turning Stone is approaching, while two more series are about to get underway at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe and Caesars Southern Indiana.
Lake Tahoe: The Circuit's most beautiful stop
Where else on the Circuit can you leave the casino and be on the shores of one of America's most beautiful lakes within minutes?
Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe – that’s where.
This longtime Circuit mainstay, located directly on the Nevada/California border (seriously, you cross the street and you’re in California!), is probably the most vacation-friendly stop on the entire tour, with gorgeous scenery, restaurants, bars, shopping, and a plethora of outdoor activities all in close proximity to the property.
Formerly known as Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, the newly renamed and remodeled Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe has also become one of the most luxurious yet affordable properties on the tour for players. Freshly renovated guest rooms offer gorgeous lake and mountain views, while top-notch food and drink options, along with a completely renovated casino floor and poker room, all await players coming for the WSOP Circuit.
Lake Tahoe is also one of the fastest-growing stops on tour. Numbers have risen steadily over the past three years, from 362 Main Event entries in 2023 to 463 last fall, and an identical total in the venue’s first spring stop earlier this year, won by Adam Nattress for $139,614.
This time around, 18 more rings will be up for grabs with the $1,700 Main Event headlining the schedule, along with $400 Mini Main Event and Monster Stack tournaments, Ladies and Seniors events, and more.
Star power in Southern Indiana
For those situated farther east, Caesars Southern Indiana hosts its own 18-ring series.
Located less than a 30-minute drive from Louisville and within a couple of hours of Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Nashville, this stop in the heartland of hoops draws from all of its nearby areas to build its annual fall series.
Along with its $1,700 Main Event, Caesars Southern Indiana has a full and diverse schedule of events, with slightly higher buy-ins awarding big prizes.
The Mini Main Event and Monster Stack events carry a $500 buy-in, while even bigger offerings like a $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha and $2,200 High Roller are also on the schedule. Other unique offerings such as a $500 Tag Team event, $500 HORSE and Big O also await players.
Last time out, the Main Event provided one of the greatest heavyweight heads-up tilts in Circuit history, as Hamid Izadi defeated Maurice Hawkins to claim the ring and $111,979.
From a field of 338 runners, the duo, who now hold a combined 36 WSOP Circuit rings, were the final two players standing.
Another Circuit superstar, John Holley, also added the 12th of his 13 Circuit rings in Southern Indiana last fall, winning the $400 H.O.R.S.E. event.
Could more big names be lined up to claim gold and one of the final $5,000 WSOP Paradise packages of the year this time around?
