Daniel Negreanu has revealed his personal schedule for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) and and it’s fair to say he’ll be going hard in the paint in pursuit of an eighth bracelet.

He's listed a total of 53 events, including the $5K Seniors High Roller that he's eligible to play "for the first time in my life." Negreanu turned 50 just after the WSOP wound down last year and he's declared that he will play in the event that drew 680 seniors last year.

The series runs from May 27 to July 16 at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos and it's the biggest ever, with a total of 100 bracelet events up for grabs.

Million-dollar war chest

While there may be no fewer than 53 WSOP events circled in his diary - totalling over a million dollars in buy-ins (and more as there are re-entries to factor in) - Negreanu makes clear that he won’t actually play them all, though that’s not for a lack of ambition. If he’s still in an event when another starts he’s not about to go register for a second while trying to win the first. As he says in his tweet, he doesn’t two-table.

Yet the breadth of events on Negreanu’s schedule, both in terms of buy-in level and game format, reveal a hunger for bracelets and a passion for poker undimmed by 27 years of success at the World Series (his very first WSOP cash was a pot-limit hold’em bracelet win in 1998).

The list contains several events at the $1K buy-in level, ensuring many recreational players will get the chance to rub shoulders and butt heads with one of the most famous poker players in town. Then there are multiple higher buy-in tourneys in the mix, from the $10K championship events to the $100K high rollers, the $250K super high roller and of course the $50K PPC, in which he is the defending champion.

Daniel Negreanu notched his seventh bracelet in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship Daniel Negreanu notched his seventh bracelet in last year's $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

Kid Poker: All grown up

After turning 50 last July, Negreanu will be playing the $5K Seniors and also the $1K Battle of Ages, for which the field will be divided into over 50s and under 50s for two starting flights, before combining for Day 2.

While his age may be an opportunity for Negreanu to play more events, it does not appear to be slowing him down. His schedule currently has just two days allocated for down-time: the first after 23 straight days of poker, and the second as a rest day before the start of the $50K PPC.

The timing of that second rest day indicates that Negreanu is serious about defending his title in one of the WSOP’s most prestigious events. The timing of everything else shows that he simply wants to play as much poker as he can.
