Spring is in the air, which for PokerStars players across much of the world means a chance to bag some glory and a whole heap of money in the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).
Dates for the global version of SCOOP have been announced — May 11 to June 2 — but if that seems like too long to wait, have no fear. A series has come along to help blow away those winter cobwebs, with no less than $6M guaranteed across 78 tournaments.
The series comprises events at multiple price points, just like SCOOP-proper, though in this case there will be High and Low versions, with no Medium options.
39 events, at both buy-in levels, mean a total of 78 chances to warm up for SCOOP in the appropriately-titled SCOOP Warm-Up Series, running April 20-28.
Series highlights, plus $50K in added SCOOP tickets
Buy-ins for the SCOOP Warm-Up Series start at a wallet-friendly $2.20, rising to $5,200 for the Titans events each Sunday, which will have $200K GTD prize pools.
Two Main Events will take place on April 27:
- $109 Main Event Low, with $1M GTD
- $1,050 Main Event High, with $400K GTD

Additionally, playing SCOOP Warm-Up events can help you bag an entry into a SCOOP event next month, thanks to the return of PokerStars’ Ticket Machine promotion.
$50K in tickets for the upcoming SCOOP series, worth up to $1,050 each, will be awarded to players taking part in the SCOOP Warm-Up.
The Ticket Machine will award SCOOP tickets at random to qualifying players. To earn an entry into the draw, which takes place at the end of the series on April 29, simply opt-in to the promotion via the PokerStars client, then play three separate SCOOP Warm-Up events at any buy-in level. Playing six events will give you two entries to the draw, and 10 events will give you three entries.
