New weekly event guarantees $1 million every Sunday
The weekly tournament schedule at GGPoker already included multiple seven-figure prize pool tournaments, with the MILLION$ series offering big-money prizes on the regular. The international poker client added another million-plus guaranteed event to the weekly tournament slate with the expansion of the GGMasters series.
GGPoker adds the GGMasters High Rollers $1,000 to the weekly schedule, and the new $1 million guaranteed tournament now takes place every Sunday. The High Rollers $1,000 becomes the latest addition to an expanded GGMasters schedule that now awards $1.8 guaranteed every week.
The new GGMasters High Roller joins a weekly schedule at GGPoker that already includes the MILLION$ series, which awards more than $6 million weekly. The GGMasters and MILLION$ series combined now promise more than $7.8 million in guarantees, as GGPoker continues to go big with its regular weekly tournament schedule.
GGMasters series expands once again
GGPoker has emerged as one of the world's top spots for big-money weekly tournaments in a relatively short time since debuting in 2014. The brand debuted the GGMasters series in January 2020 with a $150 weekly freezeout that carried at $250,000 guarantee. That guaranteed prize pool was doubled to $500,000 just weeks later, and the tournament has become one of the most popular on the network.
GGPoker's expansion of the series now includes the GGMasters Daily $25, a daily freezeout with a $50,000 guarantee. The biggest new addition to the series comes in the form of the GGMasters High Rollers $1,000, which now runs every Sunday with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The High Rollers $1,000 also plays as a freezeout, making it the biggest weekly freezeout tournament in the world.
New GGMasters events, MILLION$ series combine for nearly $8 million guaranteed weekly
The addition of the GGMasters High Rollers $1,000 adds yet another seven-figure guarantee to the weekly tournament schedule at GGPoker.
That schedule already includes four weekly tournaments under the banner of the MILLION$ series. The biggest buy-in and guarantee of those four events comes in the Super MILLION$, a $10,000 buy-in tournament with a $3 million guarantee.
The Super MILLION$ runs as a weekly two-day tournament, beginning on Sunday and bringing back the final table on Tuesday to play to a winner. GGPoker is again going big with the guarantee in this event, upping it from the previous promise of $2 million guaranteed to its current $3 million prize pool.
The High Roller MILLION$ plays as a phase tournament, with multiple starting flights offered throughout the week. The $500 buy-in, $2 million guaranteed tournament culminates each Sunday, with the winner taking home over $400,000 minimum every week.
The Zodiac MILLION$ takes place as an event exclusive for Asia-Pacific players, with a ¥500 buy-in and ¥1,000,000 guarantee. Like the High Roller MILLION$, the Zodiac plays as a phased event, with several Day 1 flights offered throughout the week.
The Global MILLION$ rounds out the quartet of weekly-scheduled events under the MILLION$ banner. Hailed as the most popular of the series by GGPoker, the Global MILLION$ offers a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool at just a $100 buy-in.
Fresh off the GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet series, GGPoker is no doubt trying to draw big numbers with its slate of big guarantees. The network is also currently in the midst of the GGSOP tournament series, a micro and low-stakes series that mimics the WSOP Bracelet Events schedule and runs through Sept. 27.
