Jeremy Becker has quickly become a player to watch over the course of the last year. After bursting onto the scene as the oft-proclaimed 'King of the Dailies', Becker took on Landon Tice in a widely-publicized World Series of Poker summer crossbook bet. While both players struggled to put together meaningful results, Becker notched a last-minute score to secure the victory. More recently, Becker played a full schedule at the PokerGO Tour 2024 Poker Masters and earned his first PGT title in Event #2

This past weekend, Becker's appearance on the Table 1 Podcast – hosted by Justin Young and Art Parmann – hit the airwaves, giving audiences further insight into his poker journey from early days to the present, including his results for the summer crossbook, how his side action panned out, and whether he's up for round two in 2025. Results aside, Becker also explains the origins of the crossbook – useful for those that aren't aware of the finer details – and how he became involved in a staking deal with Daniel Negreanu and Josh Arieh

Tice vs Becker final update Tice vs. Becker – the final scores from the summer.

Cross book #2

Talking of the crossbook, Becker admitted that both he and Negreanu made money on the side bets, even if he didn't finish in the green.

"What a shitty summer we both had, by the way," Becker admitted, "but he had a much shittier one, so we won. No sweats all summer."

"With side bets, Daniel definitely won," Becker continued. "I had a lot of money on the side, not dollar-for-dollar, but who would win. When he [Tice] made that final table for the WPT, all the Euros were in my DMs, and I took up all of them, just on who would win. I probably way bet too much, so I did give my friends some of the action."

But what everyone really wants to know is whether there's going to be a sequel this summer. It's good news, according to Becker, although there's a caveat that might mean less of a sweat for the railbirds.

"So Daniel is like, 'We're going to run this back, right?'" Becker said. "But I would say, thinking as a spectator, you see these two kids getting all this publicity and they both f***ing lost. A lot of people were talking about it like, 'F*** these kids, why do they deserve that?' I'm down to run it back, but I think I would rather it get less press. I don't mind the publicity, but I feel like I would hate me... But yeah, we're down to run it back, anytime."
