Andrew 'LuckyChewy' Lichtenberger and his team at Octopi Poker have unveiled a brand new online training course aimed at beginner poker players.
Octopi Vision teaches a number of fundamental topics, each integral to understanding poker on a basic level. From building a foundation to player actions to analyzing ranges, Octopi Vision has all the bases covered for beginner players to take their game to the next level via studying. Essentially, Octopi Vision will teach you how to study poker in an efficient and highly educational way.
In the introductory video seen above, Lichtenberger outlines the purpose of Octopi Vision and what he hopes students will take away from the course. "The premise of the course is how to study poker," Lichtenberger says. "Really, what to think about as you're studying poker and learning the game and experiencing truth at the poker table is the goal."
There are five Octopi Vision videos, all available for free on the Octopi Poker YouTube channel, along with four additional 'Octopi Vision in the Lab' videos.
Learn with Lichtenberger and Phil Galfond
Lichtenberger launched Octopi Poker alongside poker pros Nick Schulman and Victoria Livschitz in April of 2024 as a collaborative study group. The site offers three membership pricing tiers, but Octopi Vision comes free of charge.
The push for beginner-level courses has seen other coaching teams launch similar programs. Phil Galfond and his training site Run It Once recently released a $50 beginner course titled Foundations, also aimed at players who are new to the game.
Clearly, there's no better time to be a beginner poker player in terms of the educational material available to you at little to no cost.
