The PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) has drawn to a close, with the annual online tournament series awarding $69,093,338 in prize money across 375 different events — an average prizepool of over $184K per tournament.
The Player of the Series was awarded to the prolific ‘king153246’ of Albania, who cashed in a huge number of events on their way to winning two outright. They pick up an extra $15,000 in prize money for topping the series leaderboard, though their heroics were not quite enough to secure the SCOOP League for their team captain, Ben ‘Spraggy’ Spragg. Likewise, Simon 'C. Darwin2' Mattson (pictured above), won five different events but couldn't propel Parker Talbot's Team Tonkaaaa to victory in the League.
Despite leading for most of the series, Spraggy’s team came undone towards the end of SCOOP, leaving the door open for Team ‘peace&loove’, led by team captain Sebastian Huber, to take first place in the SCOOP League for the second year running. Those players who backed ‘peace&loove’ to win will enjoy an extra chance to win some prizes in an all-in shootout, including a Silver Power Pass worth $2,500.

Simon Mattson leads multiple winners
This year’s SCOOP saw three players win four or more events, adding to their growing virtual trophy cabinets.
‘FAL1st’, a Russian player based in Thailand, won four events this year for nine in total, as did Renan ‘Internett93o’ Bruschi, who now has six SCOOP scalps. Each of Bruschi’s wins came in different poker variants — pot-limit Omaha, razz, no-limit hold’em, and Omaha hi-lo — proving he is a force to be reckoned with, no matter what game he plays.
Other multiple winners include PokerStars ambassador Parker Talbot, 2024 WSOP Main Event finalist Niklas Astedt, Jerry ‘Perrymejsen’ Odeen, Denis ‘aDrENalin710’ Strebkov and Patrick Leonard, who were all among those bagging two titles during this year’s SCOOP.
Yet the biggest plaudits must go to Simon ‘C. Darwin2’ Mattsson, who not only won five titles during the series, but takes the record for most SCOOP titles ever won, with 14 to his name.
