MGM National Harbor, near Baltimore, Maryland, will again play host to one of the region's largest poker series when the Potomac Winter Poker Open returns in February.
The 2024 edition of the Potomac Winter Poker Open runs for 13 days, February 14-26, 2024 at MGM National Harbor. The series offers 17 separate events, with more than $2 million in guaranteed prize money. Headlining the series is the $1,000,000-guaranteed main event, which begins on February 23 with the first of two Day 1 starting flights.
This year's Potomac Winter Poker Open includes an increased variety of events. There's also the Cake's Classic Bounty event, one of two bounty tourneys in the series. This one-day event on Saturday, February 24 includes $50 bounties on all players, $100 bounties on several celebrity participants, and a $300 bounty on the event's host, regional sports-radio figure John "@moneymetalcakes" Auville, who also serves as an MGM National Harbor Poker Room Ambassador.
Other notable series offerings include:
- 5-Card Pot-Limit Omaha High Championship
- "Monumental Stack" NLH two-day event, featuring a starting stack of 90,000 chips, or 900 big blinds in the opening level
- Seniors (ages 50 and up)

Satellites will be offered into the series' larger events, and nightly NLH tourneys will also take place. The complete schedule of events is available online, and an online landing page with links to each event's structure sheet is also easily accessible.
