Negreanu, Mizrachi take big stacks into WSOP Super Circuit Main Event Day 3

Late registration has closed in the WSOP Super Circuit Canada Main Event at Playground, and there are plenty of star names set to return for Day 3 on Monday.

The $5,000 CAD buy-in event smashed through its $10 million CAD guarantee, with 2,844 entries creating a total prize pool of $13,082,400 CAD.

Day 1A set a new record for single-flight attendance in a $5K buy-in event in Canada, with 851 entries. Day 1C almost topped that with 830 entries.

The last of the three staggered Day 2 flights concluded with 177 players advancing to Day 3 and Canada's Mario Lemieux topping the overall leaderboard. Chance Kornuth and Will Givens are also among the big stacks, heading into Day 3 with the fifth- and tenth-largest stacks, respectively.

Daniel Negreanu has a big stack for Day 3 and has been playing the WSOP Online events on GGPoker in his downtime.

Negreanu set to start Day 3 with a big stack

Payouts are expected to be announced on Monday, with a huge first prize awaiting the winner on Thursday.

Mike Leah will be keen to keep that in the local economy. The Canadian double-bracelet winner bagged a top-10 stack across the first two Day 2 flights.

Griffin Benger, Gabriel Andrade, Andy Stacks, Daniel Negreanu and Michael Mizrachi will all start Day 3 with well-above-average stacks.

Negreanu has 89 big blinds, and Mizrachi is right behind him with 87. Mizrachi, the 2025 WSOP Main Event champ, knows plenty of ways to win chips, as you can see in the hand below.

Jonathan Little, Abby Merk and Han Feng (who finished fifth in the 2026 WSOP Main Event) all bagged around the average stack. Jeff Platt, Kevin Martin, Jamie Dwan and Lexy Gavin-Mather will be looking for a spin-up.
