PokerStars USA will offer a brand new online series for its players in three regulated US states where the international online-poker giant is available, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Called the PokerStars Summer Festival, the extravaganza runs throughout all of June and July and includes numerous promotions and special events, in addition to featured tournament series for its online customers.
The first of the featured series, Summer Stacks, begins on June 9 and runs through June 26. The series is designed for low- and middle-bankrolled players and will offer 100 events over its 18-day run, with each event's buy-in priced at $100 or less.
The Summer Stacks will be offered jointly to players in Michigan and New Jersey, which will compete on their shared platform, while Pennsylvanian players will have their own standalone series. The combined Michigan-New Jersey series offers $1.5 million in guarantees, while the Pennsylvania series offers another $1.25 million.
The final weekend of the Summer Stacks, June 25 and 26, offers the main events, which for both US platforms includes a $100 buy-in. The Pennsylvania main offers a $100,000 prize-pool guarantee, and the shared MI/NJ main offers at least $125,000. That final weekend also offers Mini Main and Turbo Main Second Chance tourneys, while the other two Sundays in the series also offer large events with $100 buy-ins.
Buy-ins for Summer Stacks events start as low as $10, though entry can be gained via single-table satellites priced as low as $1. It's all part of the PokerStars Summer Festival, which also includes Spin & Go Jackpots, Card Hunter, Freerolls, and Half Price Sundays. Winners of the major Summer Stacks events will also earn PokerStars-branded merchandise as a "trophy" assortment honoring their wins.
