Microstakes tournament series kicked off over the weekend and continues through November 29
The online poker economy might be full of high-stakes tournaments and major online festivals at the moment, but micro stakes players can find plenty of opportunities at affordable buy-ins throughout November on PokerStars.
The PokerStars Micro Millions VI series began over the weekend, with the first 43 of 117 total events playing out on the PokerStars international client. The Micro Millions Series is advertised by PokerStars as the most accessible poker tournament series in the world.
Taking a look at the Micro Millions VI schedule does indeed reveal a collection of tournaments with some of the most affordable buy-ins in the online poker economy. Of the 117 events, 31 tournaments come with a buy-in of $1.10.
Those $1.10 events still offer plenty of opportunities to cash in big, however, with $389,000 guaranteed from those 37 events combined.
$22 Main Event offers $1 million guaranteed
The "Millions" moniker of the Micro Millions series lives up to its name in the online festival's main event. Event #111: $22 Main Event kicks off Sunday, Nov. 29, with $1 million guaranteed on the line.
That $1 million prize pool marks the biggest guarantee of the series, but plenty of other Micro Million VI events offer the chance to turn a meager entry fee into a sizeable cash prize.
Other notable events on the Micro Millions VI include Event #112: $5.50 NLHE Progressive KO Half Price Sunday Storm, which guarantees $200,000. The Sunday Storm runs concurrently with the Main Event on Nov. 29.
Another six-figure prize pool opportunity comes in Event #100: $11 NLHE 8-Max Daily Highlight, which guarantees $100,000 and commences Saturday, November 28.
The micro stakes price points don't stop the Micro Millions VI festival from awarding big money, as the festival awards more than $3.5 million across the series. In trademark PokerStars fashion, the festival offers several different game variants.
PKO, Zoom, Pot-Limit Omaha, Win the Button, 6+ Hold'em, Shootout, NL Five Card Draw, and many other game types await on the Micro Millions schedule. Overall, 21 different poker variants are offered across the 11-day series.
