As the spring online poker grind slowed to a stop for the WSOP in Las Vegas, there was still the matter of crowning the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Event Champions.
Today, the final tables of the Low, Medium, and High Main Events saw the remaining nine players in each event take their seats to battle for the ultimate measure of SCOOP glory.
On PokerStars' Twitch channel, audiences were treated to a cards-up, final table in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, with commentary and analysis from James Hartigan, Joe Stapleton, and Sam Grafton.
'Fakhish' maneuvers to first place
Despite starting the final table as one of the short stacks, 'Fakhish' managed to outlast the rest of the table to claim the top prize of $948,433.
The first three eliminations came in short order, but, having secured a couple of pay ladders, the remaining six players began to battle hard to stay alive. With each player determined not to be the next one out, play slowed to a crawl, allowing for the blinds to increase and stacks to shrivel.
Eventually, the floodgates burst and the eliminations came fast and furious. The heads-up portion of play saw 'Fakhish' take a commanding chip lead into the battle against Mark 'AceSpades11' Radoja. Check out the winning moment below!
