There’s over $9M in guaranteed prizepools to be won in the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) this weekend at PokerStars, and that’s just accounting for the Main Events.
As is customary for the series, each Main Event will run in a choice of Low, Medium and High buy-ins, but the schedule will also feature options for both no-limit hold’em (NLH) and pot-limit Omaha (PLO) variants.
These multi-day events — four days for each of the NLH events and three days for the PLO — each begin on Sunday, May 25. 12:30pm ET will see all three NLH events begin, with the trio of PLO tournaments starting later, at 3:05pm ET.
Late registration will remain open for 24 hours for each NLH event, with 22 hours of late reg available for the Medium and High PLO tourneys, and 5 hours for the PLO Low.
SCOOP NLH Main Events
- Low NLH Main Event: $109 buy-in with $2M GTD
- Medium NLH Main Event: $1,050 buy-in with $3M GTD
- High NLH Main Event: $5,200 buy-in with $3M GTD
SCOOP PLO Main Events
- Low PLO Main Event: $109 buy-in with $200K GTD
- Medium PLO Main Event: $1,050 buy-in with $400K GTD
- High PLO Main Event: $5,200 buy-in with $500K GTD
SCOOP Main Events tend to be held at the conclusion of the series, but have been brought forward this year due to the start of the World Series of Poker next week. That means a whole other week of SCOOP events will follow the Main Events.
New all-time leader in the SCOOP record books
With around 70 2025 SCOOP events already in the rearview mirror, the Main Events bring a noteworthy week to an end as a new record was set by Simon ‘C.Darwin2’ Mattson, taking the lead in the race for most SCOOP titles ever won with his 12th victory.
Other notable winners this week include Germany’s Ole ‘wizowizo’ Schemion (above), who won the High $1,050 2-7 triple draw event, Denis ‘aDrENalin710’ Strebkov who won the Low version of the same event, and Jerry ‘Perrymejsen’ Ödeen who took down the $109 8-game tournament. For all three players these wins marked the 10th SCOOP title of their careers.
The ongoing SCOOP League is still being led by PokerStars ambassador Ben 'Spraggy' Spragg's team, largely thanks to an epic series-long performance by online crusher 'king153246'.
The Spring Championship of Online Poker runs until June 2.
