As the summer action starts to heat up, we've come armed with the proof that there's a lot more to Las Vegas than just the World Series of Poker this summer. With the world's poker players arriving en masse, there are plenty of tournaments outside the Paris and Horseshoe casinos.
One other monster series is the 2024 ARIA Poker Classic, which kicks off later today. From May 29 through July 13, the ARIA Resort & Casino will play host to an action-packed slate of events that includes the $3 million guaranteed BetMGM Poker Championship. The flagship event runs from June 7 -11, with a $3,500 buy-in and two Day 1s. Day 2 plays out with a merged field on June 9, before the final two days of the tournament are livestreamed from the nearby PokerGO studios.
Leo Taffe won last year's event, topping a field of 1,026 players to pocket (still) by far his biggest career win of $560,442. He beat out a tough final table that included Stephen Song on his way to the trophy.

The kickoff event is the $800 PLO Mystery Bounty that starts at 11am today with a $150,000 guarantee. You can register for this event and for every other event on the day at the BetMGM Sportsbook from 9.30am through to registration close.
Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday see $600 PLO and NLHE events, with $100K and $150K guarantees, respectively, and other highlights include the two $1,100 Mystery Bounty tournaments starting on June 6 ($500K guaranteed) and June 30 ($250K guaranteed). In total, there are 45 events and an overall series guarantee of over $12,000,000.
