Winning a coveted WSOP bracelet is ranked as poker’s mecca to strive and attain on most players’ bucket lists. This summer, plenty of opportunities will be present to bring home the gold during the 100 live and 30 scheduled online bracelet events.

Yet the million-dollar question remains: How prepared are players to stack up, run deep, and have a solid chance at capturing a WSOP bracelet?

One way to have a shot at winning the gold is to be closely mentored by players who have been there and done that, year after year, with documented success.

Twelve WSOP bracelets

Alex Foxen, Kristen Foxen, and Chance Kornuth have won 12 bracelets between them and look to add more to their trophy collections this summer.

The Chip Leader Coaching Bracelet Hunter Bootcamp is as vital to their own WSOP preparation as it will be for every player that signs on.

“To some extent, over the three days this weekend, we will be preparing each other for the WSOP and talking through different scenarios that may come up,” shared Alex. “Those discussions will benefit everyone involved. I’m really excited about the topics we have planned to share. How to prepare for the series should be one of the most valuable takeaways for anyone attending.”

The Bracelet Hunter Bootcamp begins this Friday, May 2nd, online.

What will players learn at the bootcamp?

“The bootcamp is broken down into three different days,” shared Kornuth. “We're going to go over exploits to begin the first day. Solvers approach poker strategies as a computer versus a computer trying to break even in real life. Solvers, in a lot of ways, make poker players worse. So, on day one, the three of us plan on going through many of our favorite exploits.

Then, we will shift into the high-pressure spots, the things to think about and make the right strategic adjustments. We will also touch on how to handle tilt.

Over the following two days, we will go over how to build a massive stack, punish the bubble, and arrive at the final table with the chip lead.

From there, we will tackle ICM and simplify it so that most people can logically decode the best way to approach different ICM scenarios. We will also explain bet sizing and tactics for battling aggressive players. Lastly, we will focus on making deep runs in the WSOP Main Event.”

Additionally, Chance stated that one of the most important scenarios everyone faces at the WSOP massive entry events is navigating the multi-way pots in the early stages of tournaments.

To end each day of the bootcamp, the three players will open up the floor for Q&A about the topics covered during that day’s session.

Kristen Foxen enjoyed huge support for her deep Main Event run Kristen Foxen is Queen of the Bracelet Hunters with five WSOP titles.

Kristen Foxen’s WSOP experiences

All eyes were on Kristen during last year’s WSOP Main Event. She was down to only five big blinds at one point before mounting a massive charge towards the final table. Kristen would eventually fall so very close to the final nine in 13th place for $600,000.

Kristen has captured five WSOP bracelets, including the 2013 Ladies Championship and the 2016 $1,500 Bounty event.

Foxen’s tournament expertise will be one of the highlights of the three-day bootcamp beginning Friday.

“Our upcoming WSOP Boot Camp is exactly what anyone playing WSOP this year needs,” shares Kristen. “I'm really excited to be a part of this. Seeing students improve and perform to the highest ability is very rewarding. Alex, Chance, and I all have similar yet unique approaches to these types of events, and it's a really great opportunity for us to all learn from each other. I'm excited to see the Chip Leader Coaching crew all crush this summer at the WSOP!”

Alex Foxen will be your online coach for three full days

Alex believes that one of the most extraordinary things about the Bracelet Hunter Bootcamp will be the three different perspectives offered to the attendees.

“I feel excited about the takeaways for anyone interested in attending,” shared Alex. “Players will see how we talk and think about certain spots and how the three of us are open to adjusting that thought process based on another respected player’s opinion.

The bootcamp will exhibit a unique perspective on preparation for these types of WSOP events. Anyone can look at a GTO Wizard output and know the answers. But it would be like trying to learn calculus by looking at the answers to the equation. You will have no idea how to get to the answer when given an equation.

You might understand the answer, but having someone explain why and know the difference is vital to all players. All three of us have spent a lot of time either playing, thinking, or studying the game in that capacity.

When playing a diverse field, like the WSOP events, it's particularly important to think this way and not be too focused on what a solver says.

The thought process behind why you make certain decisions is what all three of us will be sharing and emphasizing in this exclusive bootcamp experience. This information is hard, if not impossible, to come by anywhere else.”
