Daniel Negreanu is back playing for WSOP bracelets after winning the prestigious $50K Poker Players Championship in the summer. He's also back with the daily vlogs, this time from the Bahamas.
The one thing that's new is that Negreanu has been playing a Triton event for the first time, and it was a big one – the $500K buy-in Triton Million. He navigated his way through the Day 1 field and returned today, when the VIP and pro fields merged for the first time.
Negreanu started the day playing a stack of 1,965,000 or close to 100 big blinds. Unfortunately, his Triton ride came to an end midway through the day when he ran AK into Kayhan Mokri's kings to finish in 58th.
Negreanu v Pardo: 'This was a big one'
In his first vlog, Negreanu talks about three hands from Day 1 of the Million against Juan Pardo. The third is the one that Negreanu calls the "big one."
With 10,000/15,000 blinds and a 15,000 BB ante, Pardo raises to 35,000 from the hijack, Negreanu three-bets to 80,000 with and Pardo calls to the
flop, where the action goes check-check.
The turn brings in the flush draw, and Pardo bets 150,000, which Negreanu calls to the
river.
"After two time banks I was actually going to fold this hand," says Negreanu. "And I used one more..." You can follow the rest of the action in the video above, starting at 33:44.
Negreanu will end all his vlogs with his running tally from Paradise, which is currently sitting at -$600,000 after he hopped into the $100K PLO Super High Roller this afternoon. You can follow all the action on PokerOrg Instant.
