Shack-Harris, Ingram, Brunson lead the charge in this week’s top poker tweets

The heartbeat of the poker world pulses on Twitter, which represents the go-to form of social media in the industry. Poker’s most influential players and brands generally don’t lack for opinions and news, and each week Poker Twitter continues that longstanding tradition.

Here’s a look at poker’s best tweets from March 8-12.

Brandon Shack-Harris’ 3am jump rope session

The reality of the live poker grind often keeps players up well past a standard bedtime. Such was the case for Brandon Shack-Harris in the early hours of Friday morning, and the well-accomplished player showed off his winding-down technique on a Las Vegas rooftop:

“3am in Vegas is post session decompress on the roof time. We all have our things,” Harris tweeted, with a timestamp of 4:11 am PST. That posting time lends credence to this Shack-Harris rooftop jump rope session indeed taking place in the vicinity of 3am.

The video posted by Shack-Harris earned high praise from the poker community, with several comments approving of his shorts.

Joey Ingram spends some much-needed time among nature

Joey Ingram seems to never slow down. One of poker’s most prolific commentators and content creators, Ingram’s current passions include play-by-play duties on the Fedor Holz vs. Wiktor “Limitless” Malinowski heads-up challenge, as well as the pursuit of greatness in his own heads-up No-Limit Hold’em game.

Ingram took a trip out to the trails in Las Vegas this week, posting a photo of himself surrounded by a scenic southern Nevada landscape.

“Beautiful Vegas mountains #PokerMountain,” read a succinct tweet from Ingram Wednesday. Ingram certainly knows his way around Poker Mountain, as he’s perhaps at the top of the pyramid of modern poker influencers.

Does Ingram’s trek into the mountains foreshadow a new foray into outdoors content from Ingram? Some in the poker world hope so.

“(J)oey is lowkey preparing to become the next bear grylls,” commented poker player Melissa Schubert. Under that comment, Solve for Why founder Matt Berkey approved the possible new venture for Ingram.

Doyle Brunson documents his COVID-19 vaccination

The most iconic figure in poker history gave his Twitter followers a step-by-step account of his experience with the COVID-19 vaccination. The 87-year-old legend is still going strong, but hit a slight setback after COVID-19 vaccine shot No. 2:

“3rd day after covid19 shot. Feel fine. The only thing I did wrong was going to Walgreens yesterday,” tweeted Brunson Friday. “That brought on a weakness. I recommend everybody get the vaccine. I won't be posting about it anymore. Tx to everybody.”

That tweet concluded a series of posts from Brunson about the aftermath of both vaccination shots. You can check out the timeline of Brunson’s experience at his Twitter page.
