First episode covers the career of Chance Kornuth

Joey Ingram’s latest media project launched Thursday, with the popular content creator and Pot-Limit Omaha advocate debuting a new poker player profile series.

The first episode of what Ingram says will be an ongoing series featured Chance Kornuth, who’s currently embroiled in a heads-up battle with Phil Galfond in the latest round of the Galfond Challenge.

Ingram dropped the news on the debut of his new project on Twitter Thursday morning.

”This is the first of a new YT series where I will explore the characters and companies that make up the poker world,” Ingram tweeted.

“From dropping out of college to playing @PhilGalfond for $1,000,000 with a newborn baby – this is Chance Kornuth aka @ChancesCards.”

The debut episode of the new series begins with Ingram hyping up the 12-minute piece. Kornuth has made plenty of news in the poker world in recent months, battling Galfond while also welcoming a newborn baby into the world.

“When I talked with Chance about doing this video, I wanted to do it because I want to talk more about who Chance is,” Ingram says at the beginning of the episode. “Because I don’t feel like enough people out there really know his story. I feel like he’s sort of under the radar.”

The piece goes over Kornuth’s entry into a professional poker career, including his decision to drop out of college to pursue poker full time in the mid-2000s. The episode delivers Kornuth’s story in trademark Joey Ingram style, including Kornuth’s first WSOP bracelet in a 2010 Pot-Limit Omaha event.

The new show displays a Pardon the Interruption-style sidebar on the screen, and overall Ingram delivers in concise and entertaining style on the first episode of the new show.

The comments on Ingram’s Twitter and YouTube channel weight toward positive reviews of Ingram’s new venture so far. The new show doesn’t have an official name or release schedule, but Ingram indicates that he’ll produce more player profile pieces in the future.

Episode 1 of the series ends with an update on the Kornuth vs. Galfond leg of the Galfond Challenge, as well as Kornuth’s new title as a father to a newborn daughter.

The new series is available on Ingram’s YouTube channel and is the latest project to come forth from Ingram, one of poker’s most prolific content creators.
