There's a new WSOP Online series coming soon at the WSOP's online international partner, GGPoker, with six weeks of poker action and 33 total bracelets to be awarded. The 2023 WSOP Online series at GGPoker begins August 20 and runs through October 2, and it will be available in all international countries where GGPoker is available.

A GGPoker press statement released this morning describes WSOP Online as "a testament to GGPoker's commitment to bringing unparalleled poker experiences to players worldwide, and [it] promises an exhilarating journey filled with intense competition, incredible skill, and the ultimate honor of becoming a WSOP Online champion."

GGPoker has highlighted six of the 33 bracelet events as the most important offerings of the series, including the late-September Main Event and the series-ending GGMillions$ Super High Roller. The Main Event carries a $25 million prize-pool guarantee, while the GGMillion$ super-high roller offers $10 million, as does a "Mystery Millions" event with a $1 million top bounty that runs earlier in the series:

  • #28 WSOP Online Main Event [Final Day] - $5,000 buy-in - $25M GTD - Monday, September 25
  • #33 GGMillion$ Super High Roller [Final Day] - $10,300 buy-in - $10M GTD - Monday, October 2
  • #2 $300 Gladiators of Poker Opener [Final Day] - $300 buy-in - $2.5M GTD - Monday, August 21
  • #7 $210 Mystery Millions $1M Top Bounty [Day 2] - $210 buy-in - $10M GTD - Monday, August 28
  • #12 $500 Mini Main Event NLH - $500 buy-in - $2.5M GTD - Monday, September 4
  • #17 $1,500 Millionaire Maker in Paradise [Final 100] - $1,500 buy-in - $5M GTD - Monday, September 11

The 2023 WSOP Online complete schedule of 33 bracelet events includes the starting date and time and the buy-in for each of the 33 bracelet events. Tourney structures will be available within the GGPoker client.

Special series promotion takes it 'continental'

There's a new promotional twist added to the 2023 WSOP Online festival. Every GGPoker who participates in one of the series' events will be assigned to the "continent" from which he or she is playing as part of an extra contest and giveaway. The continents don't exactly match Earth's real-life counterparts; in an attempt to balance the player base assigned to each "continent", GGPoker will assign players to Americas, Europe, Mediterranean, or Asia Pacific groupings.

The four groups will then have the chance to be part of 33 Continental Freerolls, in which $2 million in prizes, across all four groups collectively, will be awarded. The 33 freerolls, one for each bracelet event, will be open to players from the same "continent" as the player who wins the bracelet event. For example, If a player from the Americas group wins a given bracelet event, then all players from the Americas group who played in that event will automatically be registered into the freeroll, which will run one week later.

Prizes in each freeroll will include seat-and-travel packages to the WSOP Paradise series in the Bahamas in December, and C$ for use on GGPoker.

There will also be four separate Continental leaderboards running throughout the WSOP Online festival. Each of the four Continental winners will receive a package to the WSOP Paradise festival valued at $35,000.

"I am thrilled for GGPoker to continue our groundbreaking partnership with WSOP and unveil another exciting year of WSOP Online," said GGPoker Global Ambassador Daniel Negreanu. "This series will captivate poker players worldwide once more, as it’s not only an opportunity to compete for a legendary WSOP gold bracelet but it also brings together players from different regions to showcase their skills. This is a unique chance for the poker community to come together, take part in the most prestigious online poker series and create a truly unforgettable poker experience!"

As expected, GGPoker will also offer satellite events where players can attempt to win their way into the online bracelet events. A full slate of side events will accompany the bracelet-tourney offerings.
