40 days and 40 nights is a common span of time in storytelling, usually marking a difficult trial or preparation that leads to something new. It's now Day 40 at the World Series of Poker, and our difficult trial in the Mojave Desert has made its turn for home.
Day 40 marks the thick of the 2025 Main Event and its opening flights. It's also a culmination of the 39 days that came before it, and all of the fantasy points we've been piling up.
If you've been under a rock, the PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll is giving away a $10K main event package, and all you have to do is be the best of 1,773 teams and their roster of eight chosen players.
The competition has started to shake out and the 2025 crushers have floated to the surface. If you have a few of them, you might be within arm's reach of the top of our leaderboard.
Flowers for Blom
The top 2025 fantasy player is Viktor Blom. He's notched 306 points on a salary of just $22, and Blom's seven cashes include a 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 10th. Blom is owned by three of the top five PokerOrg Freeroll teams, including the current leader, Team YEG AllStars.
YEG AllStars sit with 1,224 points at the top of the list, lifted in part by Blom, but the rest of the roster is equally sharp. Five of their eight players have triple digit points, with Daniel Negreanu, Ben Lamb, Isaac Haxton, and Jason Koon driving a run to the big prize. Negreanu is the sixth-highest scoring player in the field with 252 points on 10 cashes, but his $108 price tag kept him off of a lot of rosters.
