This weekend had its usual fill of poker excitement, with Sam Grafton making yet another final table, a record breaking tournament at the BSOPMillions, and numerous big scores won online at GGPoker, including a deep run for Justin Bonomo.
Here’s how the action went down.
2022 BSOP Millions
Over in São Paulo, Brazil, the 2022 BSOP Millions played out the largest buy-in it has ever featured – the R$50,000 BSOP Super High Roller. Sam Grafton continued his scintillating run of form this year with yet another podium spot, picking up 3rd place for R$431,000.
“"Just like every online final I made this year: me and eight Brazilians” – Grafton joked on Twitter.
No surprise then it was Brazilian Lúcio Lima who took BSOP gold, winning R$867,025 after he and Renan Bruschi (2nd – R$717,025) agreed to a deal. A fun final hand ended with an all-in blind flip. With the cards on their backs, Bruschi was disappointed to find himself with 7-2. Lima’s K-6 saw him home for the trophy.
