What’s the PGT Championship?
Each year the top 40 money winners on the PGT leaderboard - plus 10 Dream Seat winners (see below) - are invited to play this exclusive invitational freeroll at the PokerGo Studios in Las Vegas. $1,000,000 in prize money is awarded to the top 6, with $500,000 reserved for first place.
Seats to this mega-value freeroll are hotly contested among the world’s top pros; last year’s event featured the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Ike Haxton, Phil Hellmuth, Stephen Chidwick and Alex Foxen. Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic bagged the $500k top prize, with runner-up Arden Cho taking home $200k for second.
Cho, an actress and singer, had won her seat to the PGT Championship via the Dream Seat Invitational, and you can too.
What’s the Dream Seat Invitational?
Taking place on the eve of the PGT Championship, the Dream Seat Invitational (DSI) will also be held at the PokerGo Studio and will award six entries to the $1m freeroll.
Only 50 players can take part in the DSI, giving everyone a great shot at qualifying for the star-studded big money tournament the next day.
PokerOrg will send one player to the DSI, and it could be you, but there are other ways to qualify. A random PokerGo subscriber is awarded a Dream Seat each month until December, with more random draws taking place throughout the year for PokerGo’s social media followers. In each case, including the PokerOrg competition, winners will receive entry to the DSI, two nights’ accommodation in Las Vegas and $200 in expenses.
PokerGo subscribers can watch the action from previous PGT Championships, including Dream Seat winner Arden Cho’s run to a $200k payday (below).
