WPT WOC Day 2 sees big names rise and fall

Yesterday was Day 2 of the World Poker Tour World Online Championship Main Event on partypoker. It saw the field reduced to 24 players. They will be competing for the top prize of $1.7 million when play starts up again later today.

The tournament attracted 1,011 entries, despite there being just two day ones and a limit on rebuys. Rebuys were limited to one each. Though, players knocked out on Day 1a could buy-in afresh on day two.

The Main Event still managed to just about beat its $10 million guarantee. With the prize pool coming to a total of $10,110,000

Both first and second will surpass a million bucks, and third place will be making $814,664.
