WSOP.com has released the long-awaited schedule of WSOP online bracelet events for Michigan, the newest U.S. state to be welcomed into the World Series of Poker online family. WSOP.com has announced that its Michigan-only platform will offer eight separate bracelet events, running roughly once per week in concordance with the live 2022 World Series of Poker running in Las Vegas.

Seven of the eight Michigan online bracelet events will take place on seven consecutive Sundays, beginning on June 5 and ending on July 17. The eighth event, a "Lucky Sevens" ($777 entry fee) no-limit hold'em tourney also runs on the series' final weekend, starting on Saturday, July 16.

The relatively late announcement of the Michigan online-bracelet schedule is likely traceable to uncertainty over whether the Wolverine State would be an active member of MSIGA, the Multi-State Internet Gaming Association, in time for the summer series. Michigan has been accepted as a MSIGA member state, but some finer details remain to be worked out and the state's online poker players have yet to be pooled with the other MSIGA member states -- Delaware, New Jersey, and Nevada. With time running short, the WSOP likely opted for the safer option of committing to a separate slate of Michigan-only events, allowing for several weeks of buildup on the site.

The eight new Michigan bracelets swells to 29 the number of online bracelets the WSOP will award this summer. The live portion of the WSOP will see another 88 bracelets awarded, bringing the domestic total for the summer to 117.

Seven of eight events are no-limit hold'em

There's not a great deal of variance among the bracelet events being offered on WSOP.com MI, though the larger news is that these are the first-ever online bracelet events offered in the state. The top-level details are that seven of the eight bracelet events are no-limit hold'em, while the eighth is a pot-limit Omaha event offered on June 19.

All seven of the no-limit hold'em bracelet events fall into a fairly tight buy-in range, from $400 to $1,000. There are no true "high roller" events. All seven of the events also allow up to either two or three re-entries; there are no unlimited entries. All eight of the events begin at 6:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time. (The western part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula falls in the Central Time Zone, so players there should plan for 5:00 pm starts.)
