The poker room at Wynn Las Vegas will soon be hosting another edition of Wynn's "Classic" poker tournament series, with the 2023 Wynn Fall Classic running through much of October. This year's Fall Classic will offer 23 events over its four-week run, spanning October 2-29, 2023.
The series will offer more than $3.8 million in guaranteed prize money, with a pair of $1 million guaranteed events anchoring the action. The first of those is a Mystery Bounty event, a format that's become a staple of most recent Wynn series. The Mystery Bounty event features a $1,600 buy-in and three starting days, the first of which is on Thursday, October 12.
The other $1 million guarantee in the series is reserved for the series' NLH Championship, which also features a $1,600 buy-in and three starting days. The first of those starting days is set for Thursday, October 19.
The series includes mixed games such as Dealer's Choice and H.O.R.S.E. in addition to the more standard fare of no-limit hold'em and PLO. Two separate Seniors (50+) are on the schedule, with one of those featuring an upscale $1,100 buy-in.
Another wrinkle involves the Milestone satellite tourneys being offered in addition to the official events. Both the Mystery Bounty and NLH Champions are supported by multiple satellites featuring the increasingly popular format, wherein a player whose chip stack reaches the "milestone" amount then wins a seat into the target event.
The Wynn Fall Classic is using the milestone-satellite format early in the series as well, but in a slightly different way. Two "Double Play" milestone satellites in the series' first week award two $1,100 seat tickets, which can be used in other events.
