Back in December, the Moneymaker Tour announced select details for their upcoming stop at Texas Card House Houston. At the time, with the holidays looming ahead, it felt months away. Soon, in just a few days time, it's going to be time to get the cards in the air in Houston.
The Houston stop on the Moneymaker Tour schedule, the first of its 2024 slate, also comes as the tour's first foray into the great state of Texas.
The TCH Houston stop boasts a schedule of twelve events, plus several satellite events for the bigger buy-ins, and there are plans to livestream the final tables of multiple events.
There are several fan favorite events returning to the schedule at TCH Houston, including the Older Than Moneymaker, the Ladies' NLH, and, of course, the Moneymaker Main Event.
The Main Event is a $1,500 buy-in with a guarantee of $250,000, starting on January 16.
We spoke with Moneymaker Tour executive manager Tony Burns and he said, "I am excited about going to Houston as it's the first stop for the Moneymaker Tour in 2024 and our first time in the state of Texas.
"The anticipation feels like our first ever stop in West Palm because we just don't know what to expect. We chose to partner with TCH because it has strong leaders in the poker industry and has been recognized locally as one of fastest growing companies with six locations."
The Moneymaker Tour launched in 2023 with overwhelming success at each turn. The tour's first year in action bookended the slate with stops at the Palm Beach Kennel Club, plus stops at Daytona Beach Racing and Card Club and Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati.
Player turnouts have impressed thus far and the Moneymaker Tour organizers will now look to build on their past success in the new year. The four Moneymaker Main Event winners (Michael Rossi, Dion Jagroo, Joseph Bakun, and Bryce McVay) may look to defend their respective titles in 2024--or add new ones--but they'll have to battle it out down in Texas this time around.
