Online poker brand will match all money raised in the Unite to Fight COVID in India campaign
India’s fortunes with the COVID-19 pandemic have taken a dire turn in recent weeks. The country persists as one of the hardest-hit areas in the world in relation to COVID-19.
One of the world’s leading poker brands is joining the effort to raise money for India COVID-19 relief. Natural8 announced intentions to raise funds for the cause through May 29, in collaboration with the Unite to Fight COVID-19 in India Campaign.
From now through May 29, Natural8 will match all donations made to the Unite to Fight COVID-19 in India charity, up to an $88,000 cap. Natural8 functions as an online skin under the GGPoker Network, one of the biggest and most recognizable poker brands in the world.
“At Natural8, we want to use our position as Asia’s Largest Online Poker Room to contribute to the relief efforts in India,” states the announcement. “As such, we would like to make a plea to all our players from all over the world to come together to make a difference.”
India’s COVID-19 figures currently see approximately 400,000 daily infections, equating to two COVID-related deaths per minute.
How to donate to the Unite to Fight COVID in India campaign
Natural8 lists three ways to donate to the Unite to Fight COVID in India campaign:
1. Make a P2P Transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Contact Live Support at www.natural8.com
3. Email email@example.com to make a donation
The first two of those options require access to the Natural8 online poker site. In areas that can’t legally play at Natural8 (like the United States), your best option is to email firstname.lastname@example.org for details on how to donate to the cause.
If you’re in a country where Natural8 is a legal online poker option, you’ll receive a ticket to an exclusive Natural8 Flipout for any donation of $1 or more. All donations made through Natural8 will be directed to CryptoRelief.
“CryptoRelief is a community-run fund delivering relief during the ongoing Covid crisis in India,” reads the Natural8 announcement. “The community consists of founders and innovators, as well as people who care for the people of India.
With 1.366 billion people, India hosts the world’s second-largest population. COVID-19 cases in the country began to spike at an alarming rate at the end of March, rising to more than 400,000 new cases per day at its peak.
