Schedules for PokerStars’ North American Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) have been unveiled, with literally hundreds of tournaments on offer. The action across all four states/regions runs from April 5-22.
Separate versions of SCOOP are running in Pennsylvania, Ontario and New Jersey/Michigan, each with a guaranteed prize pool and its own schedule of events. Common to each, however, is the classic SCOOP format of each tourney running in Low, Medium and High buy-in levels.
New Jersey/Michigan
Players in the combined multi-state player pool comprising New Jersey and Michigan have $3m in guarantees to shoot for.
Some upcoming tournament highlights include:
- $300k GTD in the Main Event [Medium] and $150k in the Main Event [High], April 21
- A series of ‘Mixed Game Mondays’ offering Badugi, HORSE and Razz events
- A hold’em PKO event with a buy-in of just $5, April 6
- 5-Card PLO, 2-7 Triple Draw and 8-Game events

Pennsylvania
Players in the Keystone State will compete for at least $2.5m in guarantees, with highlights including:
- A Phase Championship with buy-ins of $10, $30 or $100 and $165k GTD across the three buy-in levels, April 22
- At least 9 events with guarantees of $50k or more
- Badugi, PLO, PLO8 and 2-7 Triple Draw tourneys
- Guarantees of $40k (Low), $150k (Medium) and $225k (High) in the Main Events, April 21

Ontario
North of the border, where games are played in CAD, there’s over $2.3m in guarantees to play for (approx. USD $1.75m).
A few tourneys catching our eye include:
- Dozens of events available for $20 or less
- $395k GTD across the three Main Events, April 21
- A $100 Freezeout with $15k GTD, April 9
- 6+ Hold’em events for $10, $30 and $100, April 13

$30k in value added to Path to SCOOP satellites
PokerStars has also announced an extra $30k has been added to the Path to SCOOP promotion, giving players in Ontario, PA, MI and NJ more chances to spin up a free $0.25 ticket to a $100 SCOOP entry.
Extra cash will also be awarded to each series’ SCOOP Player of the Year, with a trophy awaiting the overall leaderboard champion.
All North American versions of SCOOP run from April 5-22, with the global version to follow in May.
