Poker training academy adds one of the game’s most prolific tournament players to its roster
Lex Veldhuis is always a busy man in the world of poker. The Dutch poker superstar and longtime tournament pro persists as one of the game’s most popular Twitch personalities, regularly producing live streams that can go on for several hours.
Alongside those Twitch duties, Veldhuis’s status as a PokerStars Ambassador makes him one of the world’s most visible poker players. His namesake tournament series, Lex Live, is currently running its latest chapter on PokerStars.
Veldhuis added another title to his long list of poker duties Tuesday. The BBZ Poker training site announced Veldhuis as its newest coach, bringing one of the game’s most well-accomplished online tournament players to the poker training academy.
Tournament players looking for coaching at BBZ Poker can certainly check out Veldhuis’ Twitch channel for an indication of the player's dedication to the game.
Since debuting as a Twitch streamer in February 2016, Veldhuis has put in several thousands of hours of online tournament play for his followers. He joins a collection of coaches at BBZ Poker that includes names like BBZ Poker founder Jordan Drummond and Americas Cardroom Team Pro Jonathan Van Fleet.
BBZ Poker dropped the news in a Tuesday Twitter post, which Veldhuis confirmed shortly thereafter:
“Really excited to join @BBZPoker!” Veldhuis tweeted. “We have awesome plans for the near future and you guys are going to get a full look at my game and development. A sh*tload of coaching already in the agenda (for) May/June. Can't wait to see where this goes.”
What to expect from Veldhuis at BBZ Poker
BBZ Poker announced that Veldhuis’ first training materials are already live. Those materials come in the form of a video that sees Veldhuis and Drummond go through Veldhuis’ Poker Tracker 4 statistics for meta-analysis and potential leak detection.
Seeing Veldhuis’ online tournament statistics might by itself be reason enough to take the plunge and purchase the module. The number of hands played by Veldhuis on Twitch over the past five years almost certainly adds up to an unfathomable number.
A deep dive into those Poker Tracker stats will likely provide a fascinating watch. The BBZ Poker Twitter announcement indicated that potential students can expect much more content to come from the new partnership with Veldhuis.
“We're delighted to reveal today that @LexVeldhuis will be joining the team at BBZPoker!” read the Tuesday tweet. “To be working alongside someone as dedicated to poker as we are is a dream match-up and expect a lot of exciting content and projects to come from this collaboration in the future!”
