The PokerGO Tour's Mixed Games II series concluded this past weekend. The nine events on the schedule spanned a number of poker variants, offering players a wide array of formats to compete in.
Chino Rheem's performance across the series outshined his fellow competitors' to earn him the title of PGT Mixed Games II series champion. Rheem's five cashes all resulted in final table appearances and led him to one win, in Event #2: $10,200 Big Bet Mix. The win in Event #2 rocketed Rheem up to the top of the series leaderboard, a position that he did not relinquish for the rest of the slate.
Rheem's third place finish in the $25,000 10-Game Championship was the final nail in the coffin for the rest of the field and locked up the series champion title.
Rheem's total winnings throughout the series totaled to $433,600, good for enough points to lock up the series champion title before the events concluded. On top of his winnings, Rheem earned a $25,000 champion bonus for winning the series title.
Winning big in back-to-back PGT series
Rheem's impressive run at the PGT Mixed Games II series follows a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 Poker Masters. At the Poker Masters, Rheem finished the series with five cashes and one win, but ultimately fell short of winning the series leaderboard. Rheem's cashes at the Poker Masters totaled to $602,250, bringing his total winnings over the past two PGT series to over $1 million.
Through the 2023 PGT season, thus far, Rheem has two tournament wins, thirteen cashes, and $1,144,763 in total earnings. He's accumulated 983 leaderboard points and currently sits at 31st position on the PGT overall leaderboard.
With plans to partake in the upcoming PGT PLO Series II, Rheem surely looks to continue his hot streak and finish the season within the top 40 players on the leaderboard to qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll.
