Big names abound as the $10k buy-in tournament continues
With a $10,000 buy-in and a $10 million guaranteed prize pool, it comes as no surprise that the Wynn Millions drew a field full of top players. The first of a pair Of Day 2 flights played out Monday at Wynn/Encore, and the chip leaderboard from Monday’s action includes a roster of poker’s finest.
Alex Foxen, Kristen Bicknell, Jared Jaffe, and 2013 WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess mark just a few of the big names that made it through Day 2A + 2B at the Wynn Millions. Monday’s flight brought all surviving players from Day 1A and 1B back as a combined field.
Day 2A + 2B began with 240 players still in mix, and whittled down to 76 at the end of the night. Those 76 players advance to Day 3, scheduled for Wednesday.
Today’s Day 2C flight sees all players that made it through from Day 1C return for a chance to compete on Day 3. Wednesday’s Day 3 action will combine all players that made it through from Day 2A + 2B and Day 2C.
Let’s take a look at just a few of the big names that stand among the 76 survivors from Day 2A + 2B:

Foxen surges, while other big names exit
Both members of one of poker’s power couples (Foxen and Bicknell) ended Day 1 action with string stacks. Both players will take a seat among the Day 3 field, with Foxen (787,000) ending Day 2A + 2B with one of the tournament’s top stacks.
Bicknell (244,000) still has plenty of chips to play with as well. Day 3 resumes at Level 16 on Wednesday, with the blinds at 3000/6000.
Jaffe (462,000), Connor Drinan (449,000), David “ODB” Baker (353,000), Riess (266,000) and Jason Koon (262,000) all return for Day 3, with stacks of 40 big blinds or more.
While the lineup emerging from Day 2A + 2B is certainly loaded, several big names that entered Monday’s flights are now out of contention for a share of the $12,483,200 prize pool. Some of the names heading to the rail on Day 2A + 2B included Americas Cardroom Team Pro Vanessa Kade, Ali Imsirovic, David Peters, Shaun Deeb, Tony Dunst, Nick Schulman, and Joe Cada.
A total of 1,328 entries registered for the Wynn Millions, as the $10 million guarantee turned into a $12,483,200 prize pool. The 240 surviving players from Day 1A and 1B combined are now down to 76 after Day 2A + 2B.
Today’s Day 2C flight begins at noon local time. Day 1c yielded 246 players that made it through, and that field returns for a chance to clinch a seat in Wednesday’s Day 3 flight.
From there, the remainder of the tournament plays as follows:

A champion will be crowned on Friday July 2, or possibly the early morning hours of Saturday, July 3. The eventual champion from the $10,000 Wynn Millions will take home $2,018,666, with the tournament playing out with one of the biggest poker prize pools in Las Vegas history.
